ColorPicker v1.2

billon on 23 Dec 2020
  • 242KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 1 May 2020
  • Suggested by billon

ColorPicker allows color code selections, primarily for web development. Colors can be selected similar to the Windows color selection via an HSL color graphic, and both HSL and RGB values can be adjusted individually. So-called web-safe colors can also be selected via a graphic (e.g. for 3-digit CSS color values) and values can be copied or pasted in different formats. The program allows automatic copy and paste of values that enable data exchange with other programs, including text and HTML editors.

Color code formats include hexadecimal, decimal RGB, CSS hexadecimal, CSS 3 digits hexadecimal, CSS RGB decimal, CSS RGB percent, CSS HSL).

Note: Program discontinued.

@GBJ - Thats because an RTF file (Rich Text Format) is a word processor document such as produced by Word, Wordpad etc and this program is a text editor.

@Exo - Why the hell would you want to open more than a hundred text files at a time let alone over a thousand?

Anyway just tried this and it has some bugs in rendering such as the edge of letters being cut off by the next letter and some characters being coloured wrongly until you highlight them at which point they change to the correct colour.

The latest version of PlainEdit.NET is 1.4.2.0 and in fact it supports Unicode- go to 'Extras'-'Settings'-'Editor'-'File Format'- then choose 'UTF-8' for example.

I really dislike the way it forces you to only update feeds every 15 mins, and keeps nagging to set the update period to an hour. I follow many feeds which update quickly and 15 mins simply isn't fast enough. Apart from that, I'd give this program 5 stars but as it is, I give it 3 stars

WipeDisk v1.3

  • 842KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 14 Apr 2014
  • Suggested by Gaijin

WipeDisk is a tool for secure wiping of hard disks (both logical and physical), USB memory sticks and floppy disks to prevent file recovery. By default, the program will wipe a disk and all it's content, but the program includes a "Free Space" wipe, which includes deleted but recoverable files.

Although the "Low 1x" setting should be sufficient for most security needs, it supports 14 wiping methods for very high security, including US Navy, Airforce, DoD and NATO standards. Higher settings are slower.

The developer also makes a program for individual files WipeFile.
