[Anonymous] MidasI once suggested to TagScanner's author that while his app could easily be made portable, he would gain exporsure by making it available without an installer.

This is one great utility, and one of my essential audio file management tools that I use ever since I started doing digital music. Recomended!

[Anonymous] Lare2It is a great program indeed. The only downside i found is that its so easy to accidentally change a tag.

I wont put it on the same category as mp3tag with all the scripting capabilities of it. But it's definitely a great app.

[Anonymous] BeauThis is exactly what I was looking for. Small, fast, portable, and effective. Never having used a tag editor I figured it out in minutes. Finally I am able to keep my albums in an orderly fashion on my MP3 player with the titles I want. I don't need anything more than TagScanner. Thanks. [2008-11-10 05:25]

[Anonymous] PeterThe download button gives you the 524 version, but jou can download the 525 version. Go to the website under tab download (direct link: http://www.xdlab.ru/en/download.htm)

Thanks to make this portable!

[Anonymous] woutI was this close from changing from Tag&Rename to this one, but the lack of masking in the "file to tag" tab put me off... [2008-12-05 09:44]

[Anonymous] diamond heartHey, I update wma file from amazon database. It show result and not actually change the tag. [2009-02-20 06:41]

[Anonymous] MartinWorks with MP3s and Ogg Vorbis files. I can't say I love the interface, but the functionality is great. [2009-06-02 17:28]

[Anonymous] CBerkopThis is a great tool. Diamond heart, you have to actually have to click on save for the the changes to be saved. Very simple to user and works perfectly with all my MP3 & WMA Files. [2010-03-17 16:04]

[User] jamvaruIt goofed up for me, put everything in another music group subfolder. Not even sure if it renamed anything. Maybe it worked, i gave up on it. [2010-06-02 19:18]

All HTML tags will be removed from your comment. URLs (http, https, ftp) will be automatically detected and hyperlinked. I reserve the right to delete irrelevant, frivolous or offensive comments. For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
