The portable Slimjet-Version (x64) creates 3 main registry-entries:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FlashPeak
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Slimjet
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google
...but although these entries contain quiet some stuff, it's safe to remove them. I wrote a small batch:
@echo off
start /wait "" "slimjet.exe"
REG DELETE "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FlashPeak" /f
REG DELETE "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Slimjet" /f
REG DELETE "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google" /f
exit
...and compiled it with the Bat-to-Exe-Converter. VoilĂ , a completely stealth, fast, reliable x64-Browser!

@ smaragdus: Thanks ... and updated ;)

I prefer freac snapshots to freac stable because the snapshots support more encoders (including the best one- OptimFROG, Monkey's Audio, WavPack, etc).

@Midas
You might like to re-check EagleGet's portable status. I had an email conversation with the devs a few versions ago about writing to the registry etc., and as far as I can tell they have acted upon it. On my system, a registry search for "eagle" produces no hits, regardless of the status of auto-update check in EagleGet|Configurations. Older versions also put the file EagleGet.sys in the System32 folder, but that behaviour also seems to have been corrected.
Hope this helps.

@Midas - sorry if I mistakenly tagged you. Perhaps I should have tagged @Checker ?

@jessharpur: thanks. No problem as comments are public -- but such details are usually debated at the forum, where they get more attention (follow double-balloon icon, second to last from the entry's header).
