Universal Extractor v1.6.1

webfork on 8 Jul 2016
  • 11MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 12 May 2010
  • Suggested by DigeratiPrime

Universal Extractor allows you to extract files from a wide variety of archive files, including ZIP, ARJ, LZH, as well as MSI and EXE files created using various installer packages (such as Nullsoft, Wise, Inno Setup, etc). Useful for testing apps for portability because you can extract files directly from installer packages without having to go through the installation process. Note that the original developer no longer updates the program so some manual updates may be required.

Alternatively, an unofficial version with the latest-and-greatest internals is available (on Lupo's PenSuite site).

Commercial use note: license restrictions are present on included files UHARC02.EXE and UHARC04.EXE, but can be deleted without dramatic impact on the software. See website for more information.

It needs and uses Internet Explorer, which is NOT portable. I'll have a serious look at this program if it can work with my browser of choice. I am now not al interested in it.

Meant: I am now not at all interested in it

kiwichick on 2011-02-16 10:14

Latest version still says 1.12.39 in the Help / About menu. And the .exe file is exactly the same size as 1.12.39. So has it even been updated?

Fabulous MySQL software. One of my favourite pieces of Windows software. Only my browser and text editor get more use. Nice and fast.

Opera Settings Import & Export Tool v0.993

webfork on 28 Feb 2017
  • 524KB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 10 Dec 2013
  • Suggested by Hydaral

Opera Settings Import and Export Tool allows backup and restore of bookmarks, mail, contacts, sessions, preferences, etc. and enables easy transfer of them between Opera installations in different folders or operating systems.

The program can find all profiles on your system, useful when searching for "lost" profiles, and then allows preview before importing or exporting. Additionally you can cleanly transfer individual settings and store settings files in their original state so exported settings can always be manually restored.

Also available for Linux.

thank you very much!
i have been looking for a tool like this that was compatible with Opera :)

i was swapping the "Profile" folder, but that's quite crude.

Great find!
