This looks like a potentially useful app, but I'd never trust a 'removal tool' that didn't allow a 'scan and report' option first. You have no idea what this is going to do to a PC when you press the 'Start' Button! |
ViruClean is a simple virus scanner / cleaner. In short, it looks for and cleans viruses, malware and other unwanted files from your computer.
Note: this program has not been updated since 2010 and may not be effective in protecting against most viruses.

RogueRemover is a utility that can remove various rogue antispyware, antivirus and hard drive cleaning utilities. Rogue applications are applications that rather than remove spyware, provide false positives, distribute malware or spyware, advertise, or provide useless uninstallers. The main point is that rogue applications are useless and eat up system resources.

No longer exists! Go ahead and click the link, if you do it takes you to the site, you can download MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, which contains the Rogue Remover, however, is not portable to the best of my knowledge.

Nope...this is no longer available at majorgeeks or tinyurl. What's more, with something like an antivirus or antispyware, putting your faith in an old version is worse than not having any tool and still being wary. The ostensible successor is Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware product which is not stealthy...albeit it does work very well. |

Note: This program will check SVCHOST.EXE's virtual memory usage, and if it is not within specific boundaries the program will say you have a virus. This may not be the case, depending on your page file (virtual memory) size, physical memory available, and services running. It's a poor metric to use for virus checking.
