PhotoFilmStrip creates movies out of images by selecting your photos, customizing the motion path, and rendering the video. The slideshow includes the "Ken Burns" zoom+pan effect and comments about the pictures generated into a subtitle file. Furthermore, an audio file can be specified to setup the background music for the slide show.
Video output options include VCD, SVCD, DVD, FULL-HD (1920x1080), 4k (UHD).

v3.0.2
You're welcome webfork. And oh, I forgot to mention that it works on my Win 8.1 x64 too.
v2.1.0
Thanks Joe. Retested and really like this. Just a brief few minutes with the program showed some really nice visual transitions, bringing a lot of old photos to life.
v2.1.0
PhotoFilmStrip version 2.1.0-487 has been available since 2014.10.29 according to this project page at SourceForge:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/photostoryx/files/photofilmstrip/2.1.0/
I don't know why the program's homepage doesn't list it as the latest version. It could be any oversight on the part of the developers.
v2.0.0
Still phones home when started .. no way to disable.
V1.4.3
The downloaded file has no app directory and no Windows executable.
Just download the Windows exe and extract.
Writes to .PhotoFilmStrip file in %USERPROFILE% (C:\Documents and Settings\{username})
