AveDesk has a new web-site - http://www.avedesk.org/

AveDesk is not freeware, and perhaps does not belong on a list of Portable Freeware.

From the readme: "AveDesk is not freeware, but DONATIONWARE. This means that you are not free to use this application if you wish,
but that you should donate a small amount of money to the AveDesk authors if you like AveDesk and use it frequently.
Donating is not enforced, it's rather a legal trick to make sure no-one runs away with AveDesk for free :-)."

After first removing the semicolons (as listing above), I ran the program. RegShot 1.7 reported 309 keys added and 339 values added to my registry (Win XP sp2). Any ideas???

I don't think that qualifies as "portable"....
