Good program to demonstrate the need for security software or to monitor your machine. Thanks for posting.

For probably obvious reasons (like it could be used for nefarious purposes), Comodo lists it as "Unclassified Malware".

Should I add to the database?

Should this be added to the Database? The FAQ mentions nothing about not posting what essentially could be used as a KeyLogger, but I see it as a way to monitor any system activity when you are away from your PC.*

Its made by the same developer who creates Renamer, Shutter & Hasher.

*Then again you probably would use KidSafe

The real question of policy is whether this program notifies the user. System recording software has many uses and keeping track of user input can be critical in software testing. However, if its a program that deliberately hides itself, that's probably just asking for problems as we don't want to get listed as a malware distributor over one program.

This program in particular does (poorly) try to hide itself.

Good point. I think I will leave it.

Isn't this a question of how it will be used? A quick search shows that there is at least one password cracker in the DB, should that be removed?

I think this software should be added, just like anything, it's up to the user whether it will be used legally or not.

Two contrasting opinions, now I am confused on what to do, maybe I need a third person to confirm :)

I'm also for submission. With a small warning maybe.

Works on my win7x64, too.
So I voted.

I did want to point out that whenever I see a notice like this, I tend to immediately think of what I could do nefariously with it. Its sort of like "don't think of a pink elephant."

That said, I don't have a better idea of what to put.

I had no idea what to write as a warning, so I am happy for anyone to edit the entry with a better explanation on how to use this software without any implications. I think this has to be one of the most controversial entries we have in TPFC database.

I see a review has been written about Hooker on AddictiveTips. I see it as a positive thing, because obviously TPFC is read by not just portable enthusiasts but also those from some well known blog sites! ex. GHacks
