Any assistance would be appreciated with respect to xnview relative paths. I have posted at the xnview forum at this loction: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=18799 and have not received a reply (post content below).

Basically what I wish to do is to make portable my picture collection. XnView seems to be what I am looking for after trialing numerous packages. But, it seems to use absolute path and therefore when the picture collection is moved it needs to rescan everything again. That's not a problem with a small collection, but with collections approaching many GB's that's clearly a problem.

Simply, I wish to place all my picture collection into the XNView folder (say My Pictures) and have XnView read this as the db collection path ...

Otherwise, every time I change computers, I have to retype my categories as they are lost.
