So, the portable collection itself is not portable?
Hmm...something has to be done! :)

No, I run it on Windows, Linux and BSD and it worked fine!

Probably a good idea. According to the way the industry is trending, most people using the Internet are going to be using a mobile device, even if our primary audience is Windows PC users. A mobile format would help because bandwidth for these devices probably isn't going down due to reduced competition in wireless. Although the site can be viewed easily through an RSS feed, casual visitors can't really surf RSS.

I think the main part of the website could be setup using RSS to make a low-bandwidth mobile-friendly version, but I don't know. As far as the forums, that's a whole other topic.

I know that's not exactly what you meant, but I've been thinking for a while that we will eventually need a disambiguation between portable-as-in-USB-drive and portable-as-in-cell phones/tablets/etc.

That should be "The Portable Freeware Collection itself is not mobile". :D

Anyway, I occasionally use the Android stock browser to view TPFC without problems. I use Opera Mini when I am on 3G to reduce bandwidth usage.

I bet someone will soon suggest Android or iPhone apps for TPFC!
