Are you sure updates are available?
Is this the version you are currently using: FDM ver. 3.0 build 852?

I tested it and that is correct; choosing the portable version might disrupt auto-update. Re-downloading it is probably your only option.

Thanks for your reply, currently i a using full (NOT Portable) version of Free Download Manager Vr. 3.0.848. I tried to update it using build in auto update, each time getting message "You are already using the newest version". i know its the old version. same thing happens with all the other version.

Its not always possible to manually update it by downloading the program, uninstall and then installing it.

Looking for solution like mozilla firefox auto update, google chrome auto update ect.

Alrighty,this aint too bad
I tried all versions and none are really portable
and the portable version you can build
doesnt open with any of my settings
I have to import them each time...that kinda sucks.

so I made a little NSIS wrapper for it
and it works quite nicely with my portable Chromium Browser (woot!)
