Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

From the author of Q-Dir here comes another good one:
Don't sleep
- Don't Sleep is a small portable program to prevent system shutdown,
Standby, Hibernate, Turn Off and Restart.
Sorry, no time to add it now to the database; feel free to do it!
P.S. found out about it on
LifeHacker.

Added To TPFC: http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1738
Vote Now!
Note: The INI file is created as hidden, so for those who have 'hide hidden files' in their folder options, create DontSleep.ini and it will write to this, but won't hide it! Or you can change the attributes of the DontSleep.ini created by DontSleep.exe.
Added 179 Applications: Portable

I've been using
Don't Sleep laterly to stop a laptop from hibernating on the job, but just found a portable alternative:
[Amphetamine:] While there are apps out there that prevent the screen saver and sleep modes, I needed one to prevent Windows from shutting down too...

Amphetamine is currently v1.0.1, downloadable from
http://www.foolishit.com/vb6-projects/amphetamine/.
BTW, there's also an
Amphetamine2, but it isn't readily portable (
http://www.foolishit.com/vb6-projects/amphetamine-v2/).

@Midas
Did you try to uniextract the Amphetamine2 installer?
The results may surprise you.
Both versions require admin rights to run.
