Lucidor - ebook reader

#1 Post by webfork »

Mostly posting this here for reference -- very encouraging and open ebook reader program, but I had a lot of trouble with this one so I'm just posting this here for future reference.
synopsis wrote:Lucidor is a computer program for reading and handling e-books. Lucidor supports e-books in the EPUB file format, and catalogs in the OPDS format. Runs on the GNU/Linux and Windows platforms.

Features:

Read EPUB e-books.
Organize a collection of e-books in a local bookcase.
Search for and download e-books from the Internet, for example by browsing OPDS catalogs.
Convert web feeds and web pages into e-books.

Issues:

Written for the earlier version of Firefox but still works with the Pale Moon browser, which is required for this process but not something I'm interested in working with. There were some other minor issues, but I didn't dig very hard on this one.

EDIT: From the website:
Before you can run Lucidor, however, you must make sure that Pale Moon is installed. See “Requirements”.
