Updated to 3.1

#16 Post by SlowLearner »

TopSoft is pleased to announce TopOCR Version 3.1.

Our latest release is able to convert OCR text output to MP3 audio directly to your Portable Music Player. TopOCR makes it easy to use your camera as a mobile scanner to capture and OCR documents.

I've tried to make a JPE launcher for this but the path to "lame.exe" is a mystery to me. If anyone knows where this file should be, please post the path here (app's folder, windows, system32 ... all these don't work)!

It belongs in the same folder as "topocr.exe"

I think everything goes in this folder, except for "topocr.INI" which goes in the windows folder

In my PC not even the installed version of TopOCR can find lame.exe :(.
I always get this error:

(screenshot is from JPE version, but the installed one looks the same)

You are right, all the files should be right near topocr.exe.

If anyone wants to give it a try (JPE launcher) ...

Code: Select all

(TopOCR installation kit can be 7unzipped :))

Worked perfectly

Worked on my system.

I 7unzipped the exe

Copied the contents of "$COMMONFILES" and the exe "topocr.exe" into your folder "App"

Then double clicked your JauntePE launcher "topocr.exe"

Everything ran fine - and ini file went in Data-windows

Thanks

Yet another old thread update:

Site is offline (was http://www.topsoft.org/). The closest thing I could find was http://www.topocr.com/ and this is commercial software. Moving out of the Submission section.
