webfork wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 10:00 am I'm pleased to report that you can now use our search from within duckduckgo.com via the !pfw keyword. In other words, it's a shortcut to quickly access our site's search entry from DuckDuckGo. So if you have their service as your default search engine, all you need to do is type:... to see results from our site.Code: Select all
!pfw <search term>
Interestingly, we're the only site with that functionality under the 'freeware' keyword:
Note that portableapps.com has one as well: !papps.
Could it be related to this post/thread?
Re: Search overloaded?
Catalog search also performs a forum search to show related threads. (It's a small "forum topics matching your query" box that you may have missed.)Ding-A-Ling wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 6:09 am Referring to PortableFreeware on DuckDuckGo: !pfwI'm not sure, but I doubt it: the "!pfw" search in DuckDuckGo just directs to the search of TPFC catalogue and not a search of the Forum.

I suspect the database server went rogue. It totally stopped accepting connections 2 day ago.
After restarting the db server, things seem to be back to normal now.

Thanks. An attempted attack, perhaps? Back to my lookout for rogues...
