ConceptLeader 2007

#1 Post by Midas »

Previously mentioned here at TPFC forum in a post with other portable apps, but well deserving of an entry of its own, here's the portabl(iz)e(d) ConceptLeader 2007, a mind mapping program with a rather modern yet functional user interface. Haven't tested extensively, but it looks rather fit for its purpose.

This a commercial application (sold at http://www.conceptleader.com/conceptlea ... rchase.asp for $295!) that was released as portable freeware and is available for download @ http://blog.usboffice.kr/?p=75

That looks phenomenal and I'm definitely interested in testing, but I couldn't find anything on the home site about the freeware/portable version, and the blog is absolutely overrun by spam comments. Makes me a little hesitant...

The direct download link is http://ftp.usboffice.kr/files/ConceptLe ... rtable.exe. If you look at the screenshot, it says freeware in the about box. I suspect the owner of the usboffice.kr blogger is (one of) the developer(s) of ConceptLeader and this was released because the commercial success of this application wasn't exactly smashing.

This portable version is officically permitted to redistribute on this blog from Mahawiz Corp.
Also, this portable version is free for personal use only.

Looks portable and stealth after installation (a self-extracting rar archive), but upon trying to start it, I get an error message: "Please, ReInstall".

Doing so does not prevent the error. I run Win7x64, maybe that is a problem.
