For reference, there may be a way to configure them for portable use with Portable Java as with muCommander.

Re. Guten Reader, the latest eTextReader beta version (DB entry needs a serious update though. New Website is at http://www.fellnersoft.at/eTR.htm) and yBook have this capability.
