Re: My top 10
I've got 151 programs loaded up on my USB Hard drive that I take with me. (over 150GB of software, but I still have most of my drive free.) Hard to choose just 10, but here goes:
1. PStart - portable start menu
2. Multi-Launch Portable - Launch multiple programs after you plug in your USB. Kind of like having a Windows Startup folder on your USB. Not currently available publicly, since I just wrote it this week because I needed a separate stand-alone program to do this. If anyone is interested in such a program, I can release it as freeware.
3. UltraEdit Portable - Not free, but there's not a better text editor out there for programmers. Out of my 151 programs, this is the only one I've purchased.
4. XAMPP Portable
5. The GIMP Portable
6. Firefox Portable
7. Thunderbird Portable
8. BPBible Portable
9. K-Multimedia Player (or KMPlayer) - haven't found a more robust media program than this.
10. 7-Zip Portable

@rhapdog
BTW, welcome aboard.
C'mon, you are at TPFC, THE ultimate home for portable apps freaks! I am sure there will definitely be some users who are interested in your app, so yes please be so kind and publish it.rhapdog wrote:If anyone is interested in such a program, I can release it as freeware.

Re: My top 10
Mutlilaunch does sound interesting, though if you use Pstart why not just use the inbuilt function of Pstart to do that?
I use pstart to autolaunch Keypass and ghostit when it starts and have the autorun for the drive start pstart

Re: My top 10
Sorry to be a little slow on the uptake - but how do I get Pstart to automatically run applications on start-up? The three apps I always run are FreeCommander, TinySpell and Coffee - it would be great to have then start when Pstart starts without my manual intervention.
Thanks.

Right click the program you want to have autostart and choose edit
go to the second tab
I use ejectUSB in the same way, I have it set to run on pstart exit
and I run ClamWinPortableDBUpdate automatically everyday at 4:45 via pstart
