Just from the screenshot, some of those brush tools look fairly unique. Programs that really enable an artistic user rather than just basic photo editing / modification are very welcome.I am Baas wrote:I believe there are already similar apps in the DB.
What did I miss in that thread? As the dude who brings the apps, it worries me that you're avoiding wrappers and only aiming for natively portable submissions.I am Baas wrote:I, for one, am not so keen on adding X-MyPaint to the database for reasons stated there.
Oh yeah, I did see that. Thanks.I am Baas wrote:I just don't want to see TPFC becoming a mirror site of winpenpack, portableapps.com... etc.

Can JPE manipulate %USERPROFILE% before loading mypaint.exe to fix this minor issue?pass the --logfile=mypaint_error.log argument to mypaint.exe
Funny! I found this post is in connection with mine "unofficial submission"I am Baas wrote:OK, I contacted the developer and was pleased to find out that there actually is a portable version of MyPaint http://opensourcepack.blogspot.com/2009 ... win32.html available (scroll down the page for a download link or get it @ http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2554170/mypaint-0.9.1P.7z).
This is a slightly modified version that adds support for additional image formats and has extra brush packs.
But wait, due to a bug in python, this portable version writes some settings to gtkfilechooser.ini in %AppData% (Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\gtk-2.0).

Sorry, I didn't know thatachadwick wrote:The "official" builds mentioned above are split into prerelease binaries which I make, and the current official stable build done by TumagonX, the chap behind @shnbwmn's "unofficial" link above. So things are a little more blurred there than you might think.
Perhaps "dependencies" was the wrong word, just a lot of files. Apologies again.achadwick wrote: Yeah, the number of files MyPaint ships with is a nightmare. Python and GTK+ and an awful lot of runtime plumbing, not to mention all those darned Adwaita theme icons. Many deps. Many, many deps.
