FTPbox Portable - easy (S)FTP sync

#1 Post by webfork »

synopsis wrote:FTPbox is an open-source application that allows you to synchronize your files to your own host, via FTP. This way, you can access your files anywhere, without having to pay for disk space on some 3rd-party website.
I think this program is essentially trying to bridge the divide between the various cloud drive services (Dropbox, SkyDrive, etc.) and good old FTP, which is nice to see. Includes sync timing, speed limits, and TLS/SSL/SFTP.

Verdict: Untested - I noticed the dotNET 4.0 requirement too late in the process of researching this, which I don't have on my XP machine

Requires: dotNET 4.0 and an FTP/SFTP account on another computer or remote server

It keeps getting better and better, but I no longer have an FTP site to test this against. Maybe I can set this up on my LAN with Serva or CoreFTP server.
