Light Radio

#1 Post by I am Baas »

Light Radio is an Internet radio player for windows. It can be used to listen/record MP3 AAC, AAC+ & Ogg Vorbis streams. For instance, you can listen or record SHOUTcast & Icecast radio stations with this tool.

Light Radio would be awesome to run on even very old systems for just handling music.

Pros:
Used only 13 megs of ram vs. RadioSure's 26 megs. StreamWriter runs even lighter when idle, but seems to balloon to 42 megs when playing.
* Worked without any hiccups when I was using it where RadioSure sometime hesitates under a heavy system load. In other words, I think this handles process priority better.

Cons
* Fewer available radio stations compared to RadioSure and Streamwriter
* Didn't auto-resume playing when the network hookup dropped
