SolveSpace - CAD freeware (now OpenSource)
Re: SolveSpace
SuperDuper!
Downloaded and within 2 mins I had created something. An astounding feat considering I am not a CAD user. Only thing I could not figure out was how to delete a selection. Which, I suppose, would not be a problem if I went from start to finish and do not make a mistake =P

Looks like it's been 2 years since an update and unfortunately there doesn't appear to be much happening over at Github: https://github.com/jwesthues/solvespace
License is GPLv3

Re: SolveSpace (now OpenSource)
Still one of the best 2d/3d cad for fast mechanical drawing, I use it every day when, ahem, sketching robotic part at work. A bit like a sketchbook before going to more complex program like Autocad.

Re: SolveSpace - CAD freeware (now OpenSource)
Nice find! Ever since I bought a 3D printer, I have been slowly getting myself familiar with CAD software.
I started off with OpenSCAD, but quickly moved on to FreeCAD. Another CAD software (SolveSpace looks really lean an mean, only 7MB!) in the arsenal is always a good thing.
I googled around and found this article about FreeCAD vs SolveSpace to be quite useful:
