FFC - Fast File Copy

#1 Post by webfork »

Another commandline gem - Fast File Copy appears to be actively developed, supports various NTFS elements, including compression, verification, attributes, recursive folders, and at least has some work to avoid unnecessary writes with the "-u" command (not exactly delta copying but still nice). I've seen few tools in any area that advertise those features.

Untested.

Note that this has the same name as a GUI application from back in 2012: https://www.softpedia.com/dyn-search.ph ... +file+copy

Dang,... I was hopeful... looked over the commands.... doesn't appear to be a way using just this program to mirror the source folder. (Meaning, delete target files not in source.)

I guess that's what differentiates it from a sync-type program, though I'll admit with the load of other features, I'm surprised that's not present.
