Wordaizer and Mosaizer Pro

#1 Post by webfork »

Note: I only tested Wordaizer, but initial looks seemed to indicate Mosaizer is built the same way and likely has the same issues.

Synopsis:

http://www.mosaizer.com/Wordaizer/ - "word cloud" generator (visualize word frequency)
http://www.mosaizer.com/index.htm - set of professional digital creativity tools to work with a large number of bitmaps. Alpha masks, 3D effects, textures, post-processing filters and user-made masks are key for creative photo editing. (care of softpedia)

License: freeware, no alteration/redistribution

Steps: First tried both 7zip and UnivExtract methods without success. Next, installed "Full Installation" and unchecked desktop and file associations boxes. Finally, copied directory out of Program Files and then uninstalled.

Problems: Pretty much everything:

* Not functional outside of install state
* Writes to AppData
* Incomplete uninstall (leaves lots of garbage behind)

---

Usage note: Wordaizer could be useful for visualizing word frequency (generally from surveys or speeches), it's a very specialized use set. If you want something like you see on the website, this program will do the trick. Mosaizer Pro meanwhile was remarkably fun to work with and has hundreds of options. I spent 30 minutes just playing with the different settings and tools. It's a really cool software for anyone looking to do something unique/interesting with an picture.

Only three applications of https://www.apphelmond.com/index.htm are still freeware:

1) Collaizer is a photo collage creator: https://www.apphelmond.com/Collaizer/index.htm

2) PictureFrame Wizard makes pictures smaller for digital picture frames: https://www.apphelmond.com/FrameWizard/index.htm
( https://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedi ... zard.shtml )

3) Mosaizer Lite is a photo mosaic creation software: https://www.apphelmond.com/MosaizerLite/index.htm
( there are additional files to download at: https://www.apphelmond.com/Download/index.htm
look for "Downloads for Mosaizer Lite")

Wordaizer and Mosaizer Pro that used to be free ( viewtopic.php?f=20&t=20150 ) seems to be now payware/crippleware:

Wordaizer: "The software is free to use, is fully functional during the grace period, after which some restrictions will apply. It's freeware for non-commercial (personal) use.
Some advanced features are only available for licensed users."

Mosaizer: The software is free to use, is fully functional during the grace period, after which some restrictions will apply. It's trialware, while some features are only available for paying users after the grace period has expired.

Another app from this developer:
synopsis wrote:Pattaizer creates patterns. It features 22 different pattern approaches which can be tuned and varied by the user. It includes brick and Ministeck® patterns can be made (mosaics) and lissajous patterns can be created with Harmonograph and Pantograph geometries. Each pattern has several control parameters to create that unique effect that you are looking for. You could try to learn how to use Photoshop (days?), but Pattaizer does it for you. In seconds.
License: Freeware

Status: Untested, not expecting it to be portable based on other programs by the dev
