Some of the screenshots for this program looked really good so I decided to look into it. Unfortunately I think Uniextract causes some issues with the program's run time so even if it was portable, I wouldn't recommend it. It might still be a good program with a standard install.
Version tested: 4.0.0.59
Requirements: Windows NT +, dotNET 3.5
Steps:
1. Download the installer and extract using Uniextract2
2. When the intro screen pops up, just click X
3. Click the text that looks like "HACTPONKN" in Cyrillic
4. Select English from the list and uncheck "Associate files"
5. Launch hamsterziparchiver.exe
License: Lists itself as GPLv3 but -- as is becoming increasingly common -- I couldn't find the source.
Issue: the program doesn't seem to want to create a ZIP file independent of the various "connected" services where it wants to save to and give you a link. I just wanna make a compressed file and save it locally.
