Portable diary program?
Just wondering if there are any decent freeware portable diary program out there.
The only one in the TPFC database is iDailyDiary... which isn't that great!
Preferably something like Apple's Tagebuch would be great!

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not sure what exactly you are looking for; the description on Tagebuch isn't all that good (and I don't have access to MacOS to check it out).
One possibility to consider would be one of the portable wiki's, like TiddlyWiki ( http://www.tiddlywiki.org ). They already have journaling capability and pictures and other objects can be pasted in, although I don't believe it has integrated drawing.

I found this a long time ago and seems adequate for my needs.

It's not a diary program per se, but TreeDBNotes is a very versatile note-taking program. You can date- and time-stamp entries (somewhat manually), enter more than just text data (hyperlinks, tables, pictures), and can compact and password-protect your databases. To me, it's easier to use than TiddlyWiki. I first started using it as a way to store clippings from the web, as well as to keep track of other things.
Edit: As of version 3.3, the program automatically date- and time-stamps newly created notes...however, encryption- and password-protected functions seem to be only available to registered users

If you don't need graphics, MemPad (http://portablefreeware.com/?id=889) is a great option. It is a freeform tree database, one exe and one .ini for portability, and 120K for the exe.
Make a node called 2008 (or whatever the current calendar year is), and {F6} creates/goes to a node for the date. On the day of this posting, {F6} created
\
|-February
|-..... (prev dates in the month that I already entered)
|- 15 Fri
I mostly use it at work for my day-to-day ToDo and do not forget list, and other notes as they come up. I also keep a personal and a technical list, as well as an MBTI one, and all but the MBTI one have diary entries. Excellent, imho.

The freeware version doesn't have encryption

Notepad for me :)
Nearly every Windows computer has it from start > Run.
Though, I'm sure it spills it's beans all over the registry lol.
Interesting enough....?

How about Total Text Container?
Has graphics too!
You should give it a try; needs a little bit more work but it's on the right track!
