Xtort.net Floppy Office & Tiny USB Office

#1 Post by AlephX »

{Mod Note: posts merged here and OP edited: originally was "Tiny USB Office v1.0" and "Floppy Office 3.7 released"]

Floppy Office is a collection of small, self contained no-install office software applications which enable the end use access to every tool, utility and program imaginable for home, business, and student users alike.

about the applications:

PDF Producer

it is a tiny GUI PDF creation tool which simply creates PDF documents from text files.

KPad

this small rtf editor can come in handy to start documents which might later be saved in another format. KPad is a multidocument editor and has all the basic functions of Windows Wordpad.

Spread32

Spread32 is fully compatible with Microsoft Excel! It is essentially a mini-Excel with all of the basic features that you would expect in a competent spreadsheet program. Run macros, draw objects, generate charts, calculate functions and formulas, its all here. And it reads and writes xls, csv, text, and pxl formats. This version includes the last freeware version...

Ted Notepad

small but robust text editor with multilevel undo/redo, cliptexts, case conversion tools, text tools, Unicode compatible, and much more.

100k Zipper

100k Zipper is exactly what one needs in a basic compression program, it just reads and writes zip files.

NPop

NPop is a full featured email client, which as it is, can almost replace MS Outlook Express. It supports authentication, address book, multiple POP accounts and much more.

iFtp

iFtp is a small thin ftp client that supports cmod and logging. iFtp is enough for 90% of your file transfer needs.

RenameFiles

handy program for renaming multiple files in a single step.

You get all of these, plus a tiny web server to host your files via HTTP, a gui frontend for that webserver, a text encryption program, a secure file shredder, a password revealer, and last but not least, a tiny vector editor.

That's dandy, but where's the link? Kinda silly to boast about a product and then not tell folks where to find it. :P

Tiny USB Office v 1.0

#8 Post by JohnW »

More for reference than anything.

Tiny USB Office is intended as a replacement of 'Floppy Office' although the latter is still available.
Floppy Office is mentioned in the Forum ' PF Update'

Actually I've never been a fan of these AIO apps but this one does at least have the virtue that the constituents are easily accessible; and it is less than 2.5Mb in size.

Tiny USB Office features all of the programs below, which are accessible with one click with the included Qsel portable program launcher software:

Database Creation - with CSVed #
Data Encryption - with DScrypt #
Email Client Software - with NPopUK #
File Compression - with 100 Zipper
File Sharing - with HFS #
File Transfer - with FTP Wanderer @
Flowchart Creation - with EVE Vector Editor #
MSN Messenger Client - with PixaMSN #
Tree-Style Outliner Software - with Mempad #
PDF Creation - with PDF Producer
Password Recovery - with XPass #
Secure Deletion - with DSdel
Spreadsheet Creation - with Spread32 #
Text Editing - with TedNotepad #
Word Processing - with Kpad
Program Launching - with Qsel #

# in PFC
@ rejected for PFC (writes to Registry)

As you can see most of the constituents are already in PFC and so there is no pressing reason why this should be included in the database. But some might like the simplicity.

It's available from ...

Code: Select all

Old thread update:

I looked into this again and it doesn't appear to have been updated in 4 years. Think we can safely say this goes in the "not portable" section (I just moved it from "Submission").

Old thread update:

Program hasn't been updated in years, but just in case someone wanted to play with these tools, the site is offline, linking to softpedia:

Should I push this back to the submission thread?

Ah - I found one of those via the other but didn't realize they were connected. I'll merge the threads.
