Perhaps UrlyWarning, if you can still find it somewhere (old program).

We already have an excellent freeware monitoring effort from billon, but the included import/export function might make it a good way to collaborate on monitoring freeware updates in the future.

I had to conjure up something for a site that doesn't provide a RSS feed.
I ended up using Pipes, which is sort of a Yahoo Pipes clone. You can create RSS feeds from any webpage, but it helps if you have a little knowledge of HTML to fully customize your feed and understand how to use it.
Their documentation has a video walkthrough of how it works:

is it stealth?

If the site you want to watch has a sitemap.xml file, parsing sitemap.xml will be easier

Chrome has a plugin which does that called Distill Web Monitor.

Update Scanner for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... e-scanner/ (free, no limits on number of website monitored)

Definitely like how it highlights changes automatically and will ignore minor changes. This is definitely going to come in handy.lintalist wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 11:58 am Update Scanner for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... e-scanner/ (free, no limits on number of website monitored)

I looked into this and the short version is that it seems the program only accepts 25 checks in the free version.Andrew Lee wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 8:24 pm Chrome has a plugin which does that called Distill Web Monitor.
Now I understand what lintalist meant about "no limits":
So the program is fortunately also available for Firefox, and I was pleased to see that I could add a list of URLs I care about by creating a CSV. Unfortunately it seemed to only accept 6 imports at a time. I guess this is a freemium service and they want you to pay for any real import options. Which is fine, but wish they'd just give you some kind of prompt for that.lintalist wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 11:58 am Update Scanner for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... e-scanner/ (free, no limits on number of website monitored)
I had about 50 urls and it kept giving me a "Monitor limit exceeded". I cut down the results several times and it finally didn't throw an error with just 10 URLs, but of those it only accepted 6 at a time. A bit of digging later, it's basically a service behind an add-on. I need to check a LOT of webpages once a week for any changes so ... the search continues.

Although my experience with this is limited, it seems to allow unlimited trackings https://nodetics.com/pageprobe Works both on firefox & chrome.

Testing now. It seems to keep opening a separate window that it says "please don't browse in this window". Is that just me?locusmare wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 9:14 am Although my experience with this is limited, it seems to allow unlimited trackings https://nodetics.com/pageprobe Works both on firefox & chrome.
