Re: looking for a exe compressor without false-positives
UPX is the most popular compressor and therefore has by far the least false positives. See http://sarvamblog.blogspot.com/2013/05/nearly-70-of-packed-windows-system.html . I see, thanks for the link. I also use UPX mainly because of the highest compression it produces but I am surprised to see it a...

Re: looking for a exe compressor without false-positives
Because I have a limited (& very slow) internet connection and so have grown into a habit of liking low-sized files.guinness wrote:I can't see why you need to "mask" the actual filesize of your application. Do you understand the basics of UPX and such-like?

Exe Compressors are cool and I badly need them to make my application look more compact.
Sadly, UPX and MPress both have false-positives . Other compressors I found seem commercial.
Can anyone suggest something ?

Re: yaP - yet another Portablizer
I'm using Purebasic because of the small exe size it produces. I would use AutoIt otherwise. Purebasic is more strict and AutoIt is more feature rich and has larger community (though PB's is also significant). And we also have guinness here as the last resort :) How does PureBasic compare with the ...

I am using RIOT since a week or so and am really impressed with what it can do . It has got a clean and sufficient interface and does its job better than I can imagine.

Nice find :!: 5 points from me  Thank you, Richman  It's payware now, so I take back my 5 points ... sorry. That's bad. People will be going back to the free Sublime Text which is definitely better than the old free Everedit. But , isn't it possible to keep Everedit's last free version...
