USB Disk Ejector allows you to quickly and easily remove USB devices. It is useful when dealing with devices that refuse to eject, multiple devices, or if you don't want to see the "Now safe to remove this device" dialog. The program includes a variety of available advanced features including hotkeys, has available post-eject actions and more.
Functional from the command-line.

aka Muttley, try to disconnect 5 USB devices using that method and then try to disconnect the same 5 USB devices with this program. Then you'll see the difference... It's just much easier, and requires less clicks in diferent places! ;)

ProEject allows you to safely and reliably eject your removable drives. Without ejection, removing a drive can harm your data and the built-in "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" feature of Windows often fails if you have open files on the drive. In addition, ProEject cleans traces of the drive in the registry and local directories, flushes the contents of open files, and closes all drive applications running before ejecting.
ProEject lets you eject any removable drive and not just the drive hosting the program. Allows you to pick individual actions (like Clean or Close), open root directories in Windows Explorer, and view properties of each drive.

EjectUSB is a tool for quickly closing apps running from a USB drive and ejecting the drive from safe removal. It will automatically close all programs running from the drive EjectUSB was run from (host drive), close any explorer windows open to the host drive, remove Windows MUI and MRU entries and recent document shortcuts related to the host drive, and attempt to eject the host drive when done. It can also interface with various utilities to aid in drive ejection.
Alternatively, the program can be run from your hard drive as a tool to restore a computer to its post-boot state. If you have 10-20 windows open, this will quickly and easily close them all, akin to pressing a reset button for your desktop.
Warning: Launching EjectUSB will immediately close all programs running from the host drive and eject the drive without user intervention!

Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch EjectUSB.exe. The program reads its settings from EjectUSB.ini (in the same folder as EjectUSB.exe). If EjectUSB.ini does not exist, the program will run with default settings. EjectUSB also accepts a drive letter or folder path as a command-line argument. Read EjectUSB.txt for more information. |

Saves my back. This could make the drives even password protected. It has just all the options that are needed. Great! In German and English languages.

And what about this: my little daughter of three years old is allowed to play a game (totally mouse controlled). Don't want her to try and exchange CD-roms in the fragile laptop drive....
