Is it possible to make Stealth: to a under link like What's new: ??
So if the prog is portable but not stealth, we can open it and check out where it writes

That is usually just one line ... and the most common followup is: "Yes" ...

When I hit an entry title it redirects me to that app's website.

Wasn't this supposed to be the permalink? Or did I miss this change announcement?

Originally, the title is pure text, no hyperlink.

Recently, someone suggested I link the title to the app website, which I did. Since it's a minor cosmetic change, there was no announcement.

The app icon continues to link to the permalink for the entry, as well as the text-based "Permalink" hyperlink.

Is it possible to have a link on the first website page directing to the [#] apps?

IMO, that shouldn't be done.

If there is such a link, a web spider can go from the main page to a website of a private application by following just two links.

After that, spammers can create private entries which link to their websites. Even though the entries remain private, spiders will find the entries and follow the links, increasing the search engine rankings of the websites. :(

I'd like to be able to PM a TPFC user from the "comments" section directly. Or just go to the user's profile when I click the name (so I can PM him easily).
Thanks!

@joby_toss: Sounds easy enough. Lemme work on it!

Update: Done! Mouse over and click on the username and the profile page should open in a new window.

That's perfectly fine for apps that are considered "Stealth", but what the original poster requested was to include some sort of information regarding where apps write their settings to be considered non-stealth. The only entry I've encountered that does this is: PassMark OSFMount :|

On that note I've always thought everything under the 'Synopsis' section* should be collapsed like the 'whats new' bit. This would allow a few more entries to show up on the page at a time and still keep enough information visible to tell people what the program does.
(*IE: The 'Writes settings to' and everything below that would be in a collapsed state and replaced with a 'More Information' clickable that would expand.)

I mean, if you're looking for a program, you probably don't care how to install it, or the license/unicode stuff until you find the one you want. Also if you're just reading the front page, such things are also unimportant if you're just checking what programs were updated. If you find a newly added program and get curious about the installation, then it's easy enough to hit the expandable clickable to get all that information.

Personally, I'd move the 'Stealth' line to be above the new clickable because I Always check that when looking for programs or checking out new ones, but eh, I'm just picky like that. ^-^

Edit, Might be more off-topic given the thread, but since I'm posting ideas:
The new nifty 'Recent updates' box. If the box had a separator to show the day the update was made, just to keep it more organized.
Like "The following program entries were updated on <date>:" and then it'd list stuff till it said that again in the box.
(I don't know how much extra trouble it would be, but an RSS feed of that might be pretty nice too.)

For example, and mind I'm butchering the current list on the front page and the dates are Not correct, but:

The following program entries were updated on 5/22/12:
