These programs are relatively old, apparently from the XP era,
but they seem to work as expected (though I did not test them all).
They are not portable, but some might be made portable.

Mediachance Free Software
Re: Mediachance Free Software
Very interesting suggestion, thanks. BWorks, PureImage NR, and Free Digital Camera Enhancer all look really good.
Re: Mediachance Free Software
Although it creates 2 registry entries at 'HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.jpg\OpenWithList', JpgQ can be considered portable.
Re: Mediachance Free Software
Oh good, I didn't recognize it. Should have done a search. Thanks billon.
Re: Mediachance Free Software
From the name I was thinking the Free Digital Camera Enhancer was something similar to this --> https://www.rupert.id.au/tutorials/CHDK/index.php.
I've used CHDK a few times on my old Canon A610 and it's pretty sweet. Been thinking about trying it out on my Canon SX50HS for lightning pics and such. The only problem I had with it is the menu font is so small I had to use a magnifier to read it. That site has links to the wiki/wikia sites but others are available as well.
