Another scrcpy front-end QtScrcpy:

https://github.com/barry-ran/QtScrcpy
QtScrcpy connects to Android devices via USB (or via TCP/IP) for display and control. It does NOT require the root privileges.

A single instance supports up to 16 Android device connections at the same time.

It supports three major platforms: GNU/Linux, Windows and MacOS.
There's a lot here, very impressive stuff.

Hi,

adb: error: failed to get feature set: no devices/emulators found
ERROR: "adb push" returned with value 1

Personaly i solved the problem in downloading "Universal ADB Driver v6.0" here: https://androidmtk.com/download-universal-adb-driver and in installing it in following the instructions here: https://androidmtk.com/install-universal-adb-driver After that my Redmi note 8 pro was recognized perfectly by scrcpy and no error messages anymore.

 FYI, the standalone official adb/fastboot tools for all OSes can be downloaded from https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools (currently v31.0.2, released April 2021).

OTOH and to the best of my knowledge, drivers are device dependent and usually available from the device manufacturer...

Are you aware of microG, an independent open source reimplementation of GApps? Many custom ROMs allow you to use microG instead of real GApps.
Yes, I am -- and of Nanodroid, too. :nerd:

I first learned of it through the Vanced Youtube client [WARNING: link deleted]

I was really close to have it all setup last July -- in a Redmi Note 8 I got back in January, but had to pass the device to a relative in need...

One of my past devices, much cherished since I got it refurbished but in mint condition from Amazon for a mere hundred euros. Alas, dead by drowning.

i found two different version of microG. One on GitHub and the shared link with the name microG and another one on other sites including GitHub with the name Vanced microG. The latter one seems to be a lite version of microG based on their descriptions. Do you know about that? And if yes, then may you share if these can be used interchangeably?

Yes, I'm aware of both versions. MicroG and Vanced microG are alternative implementations. Vanced microG is a lighter version based on descriptions. While they serve similar purposes, it's best to use them as intended for compatibility reasons and avoid interchangeability.
