Portable version also available (didn't test it)

Briefly speaking, Easy 7-Zip is an easy-to-use version of 7-Zip. Originally, Easy 7-Zip was built based on 7-Zip 9.20. I kept all features of 7-Zip and added a few useful features that makes the software more user-friendly.

Improvements:
1. Adds icons to context menu
2. Adds options to Extract dialog (see screenshot)
3. Keeps same output folder history
4. Minimizes to system tray when clicking "Background" on progress dialog
5. Makes a new installation file
6. Fixes bugs

My favorite feature is the open output folder option:

The "Delete Source Archives" option is a neat idea. Wish all archivers offered such an option.

It's not.

Tested easy7zip_portable x64 v0.1.4:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\7-Zip\Extraction
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\7-Zip\Fm\Columns
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\7-Zip\Fm
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\7-Zip\Options

Good suggestion, TP109.

Just to be clear, this is a feature-enhanced version of 7-zip http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=796 with a few extras. I expected from the word "easy" that it would be a bit simpler and more stripped down, but there's actually MORE options than the original. It's not a huge difference, though. For example, here's a side-by-side view of the program interface:

... and a side-by-side of the "add to archive" function:

If it sounds like I'm dogging on the program, I'm really not: the 7-zip interface hasn't changed much over the years, leaving a lot of room for other non-open programs to jump in (like Bandizip http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2397 ).  I think the Easy 7-zip author is doing everyone a favor here, especially as he's using the same license.  This could all get integrated into standard 7-zip.

Now if only 7-zip theme manager http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2104 would change it's license.

Wishlist

* Different name (7z Enhanced?)
* Something in the portable version that dynamically picks x86 or x64 based on the system.
* One EXE file in the root folder, everything else in a subfolder (ideally working with the item above).

Thanks for testing. Since it's based on the same code, I should have known this would need to go through a wrapper.

Easy 7-zip: 0.1.5 is out ... changes in this version are unclear, even on the softpedia page: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Compressio ... -Zip.shtml

The author's listing it as freeware because of the unRAR component.
