How about saving Checker's invaluable activity for the next gen by modifying the What's new field title a bit? :)

The icon for "What's New" should be Checker's avatar :)

Hey, I really like the idea! I changed the icon to "icon-eye", just stopping short of adding "Checker" to the popup title. :lol: I think it is a real cool insider joke.
Icons have "opacity: 0.8;", that should be removed I guess (and adjust color afterwards). No idea why it is there :)
It's there so that the icon doesn't have a darker shade of blue compared to the link color. If I change the icon color directly, I have to change the "hover" color as well. Using opacity seems to be a shortcut to achieving the same thing.

Ok, don't mess with the opacity then :)

Hoping Checker will not change his avatar soon :)

Seems like everyone is happy (or at least not very unhappy) with the latest change, I have gone ahead and migrated them to the main site.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback!

Is it possible to zap the text underline? I think it's pretty obvious they're links with the icons next to the word.

Agreed.
bzl333 wrote:i think the name of the publisher should be shown somewhere (maybe next to program version number would make sense?) and the link goes either to a search results of all their programs on TPFC or their website.
Could we move additional site requests (e.g. listing the publisher) to a separate thread? For example: http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... 18&t=20831 ... this thread is already the recipient of quiet a few requests, most recently for icons under a "release date" heading. This will make it harder to search for these topics later.

Edit: nevermind, I just split those entries off and pushed those entries over to the previous topic.

Now the arrows are a bit down, top and left needs adjustments I guess:

Code: Select all

ul.app-links li.comments.js a:after,
ul.app-links li.screenshot.js a:after,
ul.app-links li.memberpoints a:after,
ul.app-links li.whatsnew a:after {
    ...
    top: 10px;
    left: 2px;
}

Took a bit of "getting used to" but I like the "new" design + the icons... thanks.

Looks fine on my fresh install of 12.17. Opera 12 can occasionally have inconsistencies between installs with regards to web font rendering though, so it's likely some config hiccup.

thanks, i'm on 12.16 - had same problem with Softpedia's new website so maybe its something in settings i can change. or if nothing else i can just use 12.17
