Exact Audio Copy [AKA EAC; audio CD ripper]

#1 Post by roddersg »

This is an old-time ripper for mp3 and other formats e.g. flac.
I just checked his site and he has just updated the program to include cdrdao (which is not much use to me).

Although it is in beta (it has always been in beta!) it can be copied and carried around as a single sub-directory. A little bit long in the tooth, but sure beats other rippers.

Thanks for a great site!

I have looked at EAC previously, and it writes settings to the registry.

Search for "Exact Audio Copy" at portablefreeware.com and look at the "Non-portable apps" box on the right. Hover mouse cursor over entry to view details.

OK!

Yep. I only noticed the small print when doing the search.
Thanks

There is a yaP configuration file for EAC on the yaP examples page. If it's not working correctly because of changes to yaP or EAC, it might need to be revised slightly.

The direct link for the EAC yaP ini file is:
