2019.05.25867 64bit fails to compress (both "Compress" and "Exact compress") a directory with 67000 files (10 Gb) with the error:
Code: Select all
28.01.2020 19:22:46 | [Error] Insufficient disk space to complete operation.
28.01.2020 19:22:46 | [Information] Thread 1 cancelled
28.01.2020 19:22:47 | [Error] Profile "Portable Apps.7z" can not be executed because of an unknown error.
Tested it with an external USB drive and SSD, both working correctly and having more than enough of free space.
With 7-zip, this happens after ~25% of progress. ZIP fails immediately.
Hello everyone, after a longer break I am back. A lot of issues when compressing files have been fixed in the latest update. I think the error above is a output directly from the 7z.dll v19.00 file I am using.
Until today I have no idea why this issue is firing from time to time. It's even firing sometimes when there is plenty of disk and ram space free.
Some issues with the "Compare last modification date" mode:
- All files are copied over without skipping existing files, just copied on previous run. Switched to filesize comparison, worked as fast as expected. ("Transfer timestamps" is enabled.)
Unfortunately I can not reproduce this issue.
My source data is newer than my destination data. I am using the "Compare last modification date" option and "Simple copy" mode.
- When an "Exact copy" task encounters a read-only file, it reports it as an "Access denied" error yet still copies it. The task is marked as having errors afterwards, while in fact it was successful. Again, no error with filesize comparison.
This is strange. Not happening for me in whatever configuration I try. When the option to try to overwrite write protected files is activated the file should be copied - otherwise it shouldn't. Does this still happen in the latest version for you?
