Turns out
They are hacking into my computer using their cell phone .
They are coming in thru my TimeWarnerCable Router/Modem .
I notice them in Network Folder ,
and keep changing their mac address .

Is there a way to stop them ?
Is there a way to track them ?

Thanks..Vm

So, they connect to your WLAN? In that case, you should reconfigure your router and enable encryption.

What I read from that article is to clean up is to literally reformat your HD and start from scratch. Kind of self explanatory really.

My recommendation (unless you're interested in getting into security) is to just disconnect the machine from the internet, back up your data, and reformat with the restore disk. My experience messing around with this has been that it's not really worth the energy.

If you don't have a copy of Windows handy or a restore disk, I'd get a Linux Live CD up and use that in the mean time.

Edit: so yeah I agree both with what guiness said about the article and the article itself.

Reformating and reinstalling the OS seems pointless if you have a compromised router.

I have helped a couple of friends with connection issues and both of them still had the default
log in name and passwords for their router...I would start there, like System advised.

And also make sure the hackers arent your own devices that maybe you just dont recognize
