Hi,
My Satellite receiver records movies and other shows in a *.ts format. My Win XP Multimedia Player will not recognize this type of file. What simple play only video player do you recommend to play these TS video files?
Can I play them without converting them to other extensions? I do not want to use a player that will, interfere with my Windows Media Player configuration.
I just want the easiest and least sophisticated player to play these TS extension file videos without corrupting my current configuration.
Thanks very much for your help and recommendation.
Sincerely,
Miles
How to play Satellite recorded TS files?
Try VLC http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=599
It should be able to play .ts files.
I´m sure there are other players in the "Video Players" section which
are also able to play .ts files, just take a look around.

Thanks very much.
I was able to find Mpui.exe, a universal format player, that instantly without installing, just unzipping, was able to play my TS files.
Thanks again for your note.
