QTTabBar (Tabs for Windows 7)
QTTabBar (Tabs for Windows 7)
Website: http://qttabbar.sourceforge.net/
Price: Free
Compatible: Windows 7, SP1, 32/64
Stealth: No.. (installs QTTabBar folder in AppData>Roaming, plus registry entries are needed for Explorer Integration)
Quick Highlights
- Seamless integration (no need to use a 3rd party launcher, just use Windows Explorer)
- Seamless operation (No need to alter your normal habits)
- Customizable (you can set it to intercept all Windows Explorer, or to ignore certain System Features/Apps., or any Explorer Process outside of your current Explroer, etc.)
- Appearance (customizable to your liking)
- History, Bookmarks, Favorites, Plugins, etc..
Overall, i like it.
My most favorite is the seamless integration. I tried Xplorer2, but it didn't work for all Windows Explorer Processes. For some functions, i had to go out of my comfort zone and use Xplorer's launcher Plus.. xplorer2's interface was a mess.. the design was horrible.. not user-friendly at all.
With QTTabBar, it is a complete and seamless integration. Best part.. i get to use Windows Explorer
Oh yea... unlike Xplorer2.. it's Free.

For tabs in Windows 7, you could try 7plus as well:

is it stealth?

nice, very interesting!
however.. only downside is you have to use a separate launcher
that's why i love QTTabBar.
I just wish it was stealth, in terms of the installation and settings.
I know usage would be impossible to make stealth as it integrates into Windows Explorer.
