I couldn't get a debug log and drwatson didn't detect a fault. If you'd like me to test with another kind of software, I'd be happy to. Thanks for your work on the software.

TEST:

Setup: WinXP SP3
v. 0.2.0.15

Goal: I'm trying to move the contents of directory (A), which has hundreds of sub-folders (my portable collection) to directory (B) on an external drive with these same folders, but a few missing. Essentially I'm trying to resume the transfer that never finished.

Steps:
1. Select all from directory A. Ctrl+C to copy
2. Bring focus to directory B. Ctrl+V to paste
3. Hourglass

Defect: I minimized both windows and waited about 10 minutes. Destination folder (B) has (Not Responding) in the title. Finally, right clicked and exited the program. Explorer restarted.

Expected results: "File already exists" prompt

With the debug portable version:
http://files.first-world.info/ultracopi ... 2.0.15.rar (If the patch for Gilgamesh work better I will save too that's problem)
If have crash/freeze+hard closing at the next restart it detect it and ask where do you want save the debug report.

Can you check source and destination, and send me full path (path + name) of your file missing (sound like file name problem).

Sorry for the delay. Tested the patch and it's ok, saving the settings.conf on the same dir of the exe.
Thank you!

TEST 2 using version posted above
  • Full paths:
    • Source (local drive): J:\portable programs\data
    • Destination (external device): E:\portable programs\data
    Missing files:
    • There are too many missing files to list them all (we can move this exchange to email if you need a full list), but including VLC, many files for the latest version of Iron, Songbird, and many others.
    Steps:
    1. Select all from directory A. Ctrl+C to copy
    2. Bring focus to directory B. Ctrl+V to paste

Defect: NEW BEHAVIOR: Source folder becomes frozen. No longer an hourglass when these windows are in focus. I have posted debug log here.

brule.herman at gmail.com, ultracopier at first-world.info, alpha_one_x86 at first-world.info
Please, send me log file compressed + missing file, to see where is the problem (I thinks it's into the listing part, because the copy part show error at all problem), and if you can disable auto-start copy and tel me if you see the missing file into the copy list.
