So ours is in the 1.7 trunk:
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1140 -- 1.7.10
1.8 is considered stable but the only Win32 download is 1.9
Theirs: http://projects.gnome.org/gnumeric/downloads.shtml 1.9.10
Unfortunately, the program tries to save to the Program Files directory so I'm wondering if its really portable anymore. I tried a Universal Extractor experiment but was left with a confusing mess of files that didn't seem to want to play nice. Since I'm overloaded with my own projects, I figured I'd turn this over to the people at PFC to see if anyone wanted to tackle this.
I just talk about it because its nice to have a standalone spreadsheet program with a little more power than CVSed but faster than OpenOffice.
Gnumeric no longer portable
Re: Gnumeric no longer portable
Give X-Gnumeric from winPenPack a try. It's on version 1.9.3-20081017. http://www.winpenpack.com/main/download.php?view.536
Re: Gnumeric no longer portable
I'll check it out eventually but whoever tries to tackle this one should know that link requires a registration. I don't speak Italian but that's what it appears to be saying.
Re: Gnumeric no longer portable
I have created a portable release of this version 1.9.3 some weeks ago, using the portableapps launcher in test. It is available at this page:

(any help to eventually fix and improve it is welcome)
