PhotoFiltre Studio is shareware and is limited to a 30-day trial period. At the end of the 30-day trial
period, if you want to continue using PhotoFiltre Studio you will need to purchase a registration key
from the programs author. If, on the other hand you no longer want to continue using the program
you must remove it from your system immediately.
Photfiltre 7 is the updated version of the previous version 6.52 and is freeware.
Photofiltre Studio is different and as you pointed out, the shareware version.
The major change is the addition of layers.
I have mine running under JauntePe, so can not comment on the portability.
However, it is a great little program and compresses well under UPX.
Two months ago I reported to PortableApps.com that PhotoFiltre Portable may leave registry entries behind: http://portableapps.com/node/30542
I planned that they will fix it and I'll switch to PhotoFiltre Portable after that.
However, they still haven't fixed the issue. (Referring to an infamous comment from John T. Haller, PhotoFiltre Portable violates their guidelines of what a portable app is. People who download from PortableApps.com should use care. ) I have to say that I'm very disappointed.
