Inviska Rename
Re: Inviska Rename
Terrible, indeed.
My own vision is slowly starting to fail, so I do understand the utter powerlessness it entails.
Someone should suggest to Inviska's dev about using TPFC for his forum needs, possibly...

Re: Inviska Rename
I contacted Inviska Rename developer, he responded that he would keep keep an eye on this thread.
Both binaries and sources can be found at the download page.
I agree with the developer that Inviska Rename is feature complete.
If users find bugs or would like to suggest features they may contact the developer directly.

Re: Inviska Rename
I also contacted the developer and he added a feature to sort filelist by type. It is not included in the current release, but I can share a link:

Re: Inviska Rename
What would boost productivity with this program considerably for large directories (which is most I use renaming programs with) would be an option to display in both panes only files that match the entered rename pattern. As currently if the working directory is filled with many files and you're only wanting to rename some you have to scroll down to view if the pattern is matching anything, which can be tricky in directories with hundreds or thousands of files since if not many files are being renamed it's easy to miss the red highlights in the list.
Whereas with such a proposed feature the moment the user begins typing into one of the rename fields it would filter the displayed directory items to just those affected by pattern and changes.

Re: Inviska Rename
Just a note that inviska is one of only a small number of programs out there that puts together a portable version for every OS: https://www.inviska.com/faq/

Re: Inviska Rename
Seems the site is unavailable currently.
Re: Inviska Rename
Confirmed. I went looking for a mirror but nothing so far. I'll keep digging. If anyone has a local copy of the portable version, please post.
Re: Inviska Rename
I have Inviska Rename version 12.0 for 32 and 64 environments, downloaded on Sept. 10, 2019.
Let me know where/how I can upload/email these files.

Re: Inviska Rename
You cans start by creating up to 12 easy mirrors at https://www.mirrored.to/ -- please, be sure to include Zippyshare as it is in my experience the most reliable one.juverax wrote: ↑Let me know where/how I can upload/email these files.

Re: Inviska Rename
Thanks for that, juverax.
The last snapshot at the Wayback Machine is at the URL below -- unfortunately, it seems the software packages weren't included. Alas, Softpedia's dedicated Inviska Rename pages (also below) relied on the official site for download.

Considering the info on Inviska Rename developer's health released some time ago, I took the liberty of checking the executables inside the archives on VirusTotal before creating further mirrors. If interested, please follow the links below:

Re: Inviska Rename
I need to get some automatic software mirroring programs running as this is at least the 10th example of this in the last 6 months. Thanks for the info, Midas.

Re: Inviska Rename
For portable mode create empty file Portable.sys with EXE program file. Install.sys for install mode.
You can use it without these files, even though the program checks for availability.
