So is Lupo still doing something with the unofficial version? Or is that offline? It doesn't look like some of the latest changes are getting integrated. If so, I need to take reference of it off our entry and encourage folks to manually update the official program (or something).

The latest Lupo's unofficial version is Universal Extractor 1.6.1 R9, changes:

1.6.1 Unofficial Revision 9 (30-05-2015):
- Updated InnoUnp to 0.42
- Updated Pea to 0.49

Since the last update is less than 2 months old I conclude that Lupo's unofficial release of Universal Extractor is still regularly updated.

Since the portable version of Universal Extractor cannot be integrated to Windows Shell I prefer the installer one and I use this unofficial portable release to update the official installer ('bin' folder).

It seems that the original developer has no interest to maintain and update Universal Extractor any more.

That way it works too but for me right-click and 'Uniextract to Subdir' is faster. When it comes to archive programs I don't mind to install them because of the shell integration- as far as I know FreeArc is the only portable archiver that can be added to windows shell.

[Userfriendly]

You can add a context menu shortcut for any program with some simple registry tweaks. Here' a .reg file to add UniExtract to the context menu for all files.
