Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

FileTypeDiag (file type registry dumper)

#1 Post by Midas »

FileTypeDiag is a simplistic and highly focused diagnostic utility that might come handy in troubleshooting situations, especially if coupled with something like NirSoft's FileTypesMan (http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1478) and a tutorial like HowToGeek's "Change a File Type’s Icon in Windows 7" (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/12383/).
BTW & FYI, alternate system file types manager utilities at TPFC (for portables, see this post):
ExtMan (http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=2330);
Types (http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1548).

FileTypeDiag has no settings; more info and current version (v1.0.0.7; for both 32 and 64 bits Windows) download at http://www.pretentiousname.com/miscsoft ... leTypeDiag.

Tested Portable

The FileTypeDiag.exe is 32-bit but it captures both 32-bit and 64-bit registry SAMs.
