i'm not sure what its called but if i go to Softpedia and most other similar type sites there will be something like this across the top:
Softpedia > Windows > Portable Software > Internet > Browsers > Portable Firefox
i think TPFC should add similar if its not too difficult to implement because many times i'm looking for a certain type of program and this navigation helper is missing at TPFC
possible new feature? (breadcrumb navigation)
Re: possible new feature?
Good idea, thanks.i'm not sure what its called but if i go to Softpedia and most other similar type sites there will be something like this across the top
I believe it's called breadcrumb navigation. It's a cool idea, but it's something that would be up to the admin to implement. The only barrier I can see is that we don't currently have a list of programs by both category AND subcategory. You can see this on the categories page where you can click on the subcategories but not the higher categories e.g. You can click on items like "Editors" and "iPod Managers" in the Audio section but you can't click on "Audio".

Re: possible new feature?
As far as I can tell, this feature is possible, but non-trivial to implement.
So unless there's really the need to see all the entries in eg. the [Audio] category...
