[Anonymous] gbrUniversal Extractor v1.6 didn't work for me,this is the message I got:
Signature detected: Inno Setup Setup Data (5.3.0)
This is not directly supported, but i'll try to unpack it as version 5203; Version detected: 5300
Critical error: The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program.
Unpacking failed. This version is not supported.

[User] JohnW1. Universal Extractor does work! So the explanation for gbr's problem is that he is not using the latest version of innounp. (just google for it, download and overwrite in the relevant UniExt subdirectory)
2. This is one of those UniExtractions where you get appname,1.exe and appname,2.exe. Changing appname,1 to appname usually works but can any of the experts tell me why this arises?

it happens when the same setup is for 32bit and 64bit installations (1 exe for each); but in this case it doesn't matter (are both the same 32 bit exe)

For more general topics (eg. whether apps that write to the registry, leave traces on the host machine, rely on certain versions of IE etc. can be considered portable), please post to the Portable Freeware Discussion forum. If your virus scanner has detected a virus in the application, please email the author directly or post to the forum. Note that false positives (i.e. flagging a virus when there is actually none) are extremely common for virus scanners. When in doubt, try an online scanner like Online Malware Scanner or VirusTotal, which scans files using multiple anti-virus engines. It is very likely to be a false positive if only a few engines raise the red flag.
