Both Nirsoft's TCPLogView and Sysinternals' TCPview offer about the same set of functionalities.

However, the alternative Sysinternals' TCPview might have a slight edge in its skilled use of color background for highlighting DYNAMIC TCP connections activities:

It feels nimbler at popping up a log line (on a green background) for each transient new active connections and at briefly flashing an existing log line (on red background) before its connection is torn down.

I like this program. I recently used it to notice some suspicious looking port activities. I was able to close the ports down and then turn them to stealth using my firewall program. Then I used this program again and everything has looked normal ever since then. So I think this program may have helped me to stop some hackers or malware. All of my own internet activities and programs work normally so I really do think this program helped me stop something bad from happening.

AHA ! CountryTraceroute v1.30 released 30MAY2019

CT finally provides pertinent ASN information, (useful to identify Network Carrier per IP hop),
as presaged by the recent introduction of ASN data in IPinfoOffline v1.50.

Happy conclusion to a looong quest for a coveted feature (began JUNE 2013)...;-)

Caveat:
Loading the optional Maxmind Geolite2 ASN*.CSV file alone takes about 10 sec(under XP)
or 5 sec(under Win7). Loading all the Geolite2 *.CSV files takes about 28 sec (XP)

Loading time might be considerably reduced in future versions by querying the equivalent Maxmind Geolite2 compiled binaries instead of *.CSV

So, at the authors website, Vista is not listed in requirements=>

I downloaded v5.0.0.3758 just for curiosity and the change.txt has Vista listed as compatible.
Sure enough, this version DOES work on Windows Vista.

Guess I'll send a message to the Rizonesoft Team about the incorrect info on their site.

Not keeping things up-to-date surely does waste people's
time and also prevents folks from downloading the product if their OS isn't listed as a requirement.

Don't recommend outdated crap please.
Eusing's free IP Switcher refuses to work on anything better than Windows XP. So it's virtually useless.

I don't wanna say anything bad about this pgm. cuz I have no doubt that for many, many OS systems it is a real game changer and will greatly improve system speed and performance.

I've updated the entry. Since the changelog is only available in German I tried to translate it for our purposes, but I'm not sure to what extent my translation is correct...

It should be mentioned, that eToolz requires NET3.5 - I think since version 3. It does NOT run on Windows 8 and higher with the integrated NET 4+, if the optional NET3.5-package is not installed!

Last time I tried it, I was unable to redirect domains to 0.0.0.0 (an invalid IP, I know, but enabling much snappier redirection). Apart from that, it works well -- but there are other similar options.

@randy - well there is no way to spoof the mac address without
adding a networkaddress=spoofMAC to the registry.

@* It probably reports that because it could be used to cause DOS(denial of service) if your MAC is changed. Ie you are on lan and your internet access is based on your mac. If that is changed then you wouldnt be able to connect to the internet

Compared with this tool, I feel DNSJumper is more user-friendly and it also allows you to add custom DNS address, reset DNS address to original and test fastest DNS to use.
