Is this really free? Here is the "buy" page, and I don't see an entry for "personal use":

@BGM: The standard edition isn't free if you're a commercial entity, hence the price tag.

A small point...
The download is now 'pure' Windows.
Other OS files are not present.
Perhaps mod the initial blurb

__philippe on 2017-08-30 13:15

Late to the Xmind party,...and yet:

Talk about BLOATED software indeed: 471MB ! fer chrissake (excuse my french)...:-(

One could draw half-decent "Mind Map" diagrams with EVE (182KB) just as well...;-)

Selecting "Hide Plus/Pro features" does nothing, it still shows the PRO features.

Very Popular but sadly neglected

SourceForge currently reports (Jan2016):
16,000 downloads this single week
and over a MILLION downloads in the last year !
BUT Last updated Aug 2014

What a shame this excellent software isn't developed to its full potential
or sold to someone who will

webfork on 2016-01-20 20:22

NickR: Prefer LibreOffice's Drawing tool, which takes some getting used to but also does a bit more than Dia. It's also in active development.

Emka on 2020-10-19 05:53

Briefly used it to draw a complex diagram for a project at work. Seems powerful but usability and UI require getting used to.
